Location: Beltsville Agricultural Research Center (BARC), MarylandKey Responsibilities
  • Conduct workplace hazard assessments and exposure evaluations
  • Perform noise monitoring and support hearing conservation efforts
  • Conduct respirator fit testing and recommend PPE
  • Develop and maintain radiation safety and dosimetry programs
  • Respond to safety incidents and provide 24/7 on-call support
  • Prepare clear, timely reports and documentation
  • Perform annual inspections and program reviews
  • Support occupational medical surveillance activities
  • Serve as Chemical Hygiene Officer and manage chemical safety programs
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field
  • Minimum 4 years of industrial hygiene experience
  • Experience with hazard recognition, evaluation, and control
  • Ability to make independent professional judgments
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
