About our company:

Headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona with multiple offices nationwide. Hotel Cleaning Services has steady growth for over 40 years. Today we are a leader in our space providing commercial cleaning to high-end hotels, resorts, and restaurants. We clean public areas of the hotels during third shift.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an energetic, diligent, organized, and self-motivated candidate to join our organization as an area manager. The ideal candidate has a take-charge personality and a talent for getting things done. As an area manager, you will oversee two resorts in the San Diego Area. Your job will involve traveling between resorts, the cleanliness of the hotels and leading the janitorial team with a humble approach.  

Major responsibilities:

  • Inspect quality of job performed.
  • Perform walk inspections
  • Assist the team with any duties to ensure they stay on schedule
  • Monitor and control chemical inventory at each location
  • Deal with problems by providing creative and practical solutions
  • Ensure that storage room are stocked with supplies and perform equipment inspections to ensure they are in good working order.
  • Communicate with hotel personnel timely and professional on a daily basis
  • Submit equipment repair request as needed
  • Identify and solve issues promptly
  • Summit supply order requests as needed
  • Manage and adding all employees into the payroll system on both locations
  • Continually communicate with the corporate office with any requests, issues, or general information
  • Submit onboarding paperwork for new employees
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Recruit, hire and train new associates

This is a full-time salaried supervisor position, and as such, hours and days to work WILL fluctuate up to and including weekends and holidays.

Required experience:

  • Management or Multi-account supervision: 1 year
  • Hospitality and/or Commercial Janitorial Experience
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish necessary
  • A valid driver license is necessary

Required education:

  • High school or equivalent
  • Five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in the janitorial field. 
  • Basic computer skills required (MSWord, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Performs duties of workers supervised when needed. 
  • Communicate in Spanish/English to customers and staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
