Job description

Come join our amazing Team at the Stonewater Cove Resort, a luxurious 38-unit property on Table Rock Lake in the beautiful hills of the Missouri Ozarks! Our property is located on nearly 500 acres of hills, forest and lakefront. It is the perfect location for outdoor adventures with zip-lines, ATV trails, fishing, and boating available. You'll be working alongside approximately 60 fellow Team Members who are dedicated to providing memorable vacation experiences to our Owners and Guests- we can't wait for you to join us!

The Food & Beverage Director will be responsible for the entire restaurant operation with a heavy focus on food preparation and menu development. This position will also work with activities department to provide food related activities to resort guests.

What will I be doing?

  • Ensuring that kitchen staff adhere to quality, hygiene and cleanliness standards
  • Dealing with suppliers and ensuring that they supply quality goods at affordable prices
  • Managing the inventory and ordering stock as needed
  • Maintain acceptable food and liquor costs.
  • Creating and maintaining a budget that achieves department goals
  • Guest recovery and satisfaction handling complaints to a satisfactory resolution
  • Overseeing the maintenance of kitchen equipment and organizing repairs when needed
  • Handling staff issues, such as sick leave and attendance, and taking disciplinary action when necessary
  • Developing new dishes and overhauling menus to attract more clientele. Including liquor, wine, and cocktail menus
  • Ensuring that guests receive excellent service and enjoy their culinary experience
  • Embodies the Hilton Grand Vacations Values of Hospitality, Integrity, Leadership, Teamwork, Ownership, Now,
  • Completes all required Company training/compliance courses as assigned.
  • Adheres to Company standards and maintains compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

What are we looking for?

To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

  • Proven experience as Executive Chef
  • Previous experience in menu development
  • Knowledgeable in wine varietals and pairings
  • Exceptional proven ability in culinary arts
  • Leadership and managerial skills
  • Up to date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes
  • Good understanding of useful computer programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
  • Credentials in health and safety training (Serve Safe/ OSHA etc....)
  • Driver's License

In addition, the following qualifications, knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience are preferred:

  • Director of F&B experience at a hotel/ resort
  • Familiar Agilysys POS
