Overview

Black Desert Resort is an ultra-premium destination resort in Southern Utah offering luxury accommodations, refined dining, and elevated guest experiences. The In-Room Dining (IRD) program delivers high-quality food and beverage service directly to guest rooms, providing a personalized and seamless dining experience.

The In-Room Dining Supervisor plays a key leadership role in ensuring the delivery of this experience through strong operational execution and team oversight.

Job Summary

The In-Room Dining Supervisor - Full-Time is responsible for overseeing daily IRD operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of orders, and maintaining high service standards. This role supervises IRD team members, supports service execution, and ensures all guest interactions meet Black Desert Resort's ultra-premium hospitality expectations.

This position requires a hands-on leader who can balance operational oversight with direct service support while maintaining efficiency, quality, and guest satisfaction.

Onsite: Black Desert ResortShift & Schedule Availability: Year-Round / Full-TimePay Rate: $18/hour plus portion of service charges. This is the pay rate we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities including but not limited to

  • Oversee daily in-room dining operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of all orders.
  • Supervise, coach, and support IRD servers and support staff.
  • Ensure all orders are properly prepared, presented, and delivered according to resort standards.
  • Monitor service flow, timing, and order accuracy to maintain efficiency.
  • Assist with order taking, POS entry, and guest communication as needed.
  • Ensure proper setup of trays, carts, and in-room service standards.
  • Oversee billing accuracy, posting to guest folios, and cash handling procedures.
  • Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and service recovery professionally.
  • Conduct pre-shift briefings and communicate daily priorities and updates.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of IRD service areas and equipment.
  • Support inventory management, ordering, and supply levels.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and service standards.
  • Partner with culinary and front office teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Support scheduling, labor management, and productivity goals.
  • Step into operational roles during peak periods to support the team.
  • Uphold Black Desert Resort's ultra-premium hospitality standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of food and beverage experience, preferably in room service or upscale dining.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of service standards and guest experience expectations.
  • Proficiency with POS systems and guest billing processes.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
