Job description

Overview
The Resort Housekeeping Supervisor plays a key role in maintaining cleanliness and quality standards across guest rooms and public spaces. This position supports the housekeeping leadership team by overseeing daily operations, guiding team members, and ensuring that all areas of the property meet established expectations. This role combines inspection responsibilities with hands-on support to ensure efficient operations and a high level of guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this role may include, but are not limited to:
  • Conduct detailed inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and storage spaces to verify cleanliness and readiness
  • Record inspection results, identify deficiencies, and coordinate corrective actions including submitting maintenance requests when needed
  • Communicate room status updates to appropriate departments to support efficient operations
  • Support the development of housekeeping team members by providing training, guidance, and ongoing coaching
  • Assist in assigning daily work sections for room attendants, housepersons, and public area staff as needed
  • Monitor inventory levels of linens, cleaning supplies, and equipment, ensuring proper organization and availability
  • Identify damages or maintenance concerns and report them promptly to leadership
  • Collaborate with departments such as front desk and maintenance to ensure smooth guest service and operational flow
  • Respond to guest concerns or service requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Provide courteous interactions with guests while maintaining a service-focused approach
  • Step in to perform cleaning tasks, including guest rooms and common areas, when business needs require additional support
  • Assist with overall housekeeping operations to ensure efficiency during high-volume periods
  • Complete additional duties as assigned by management

‎Qualifications
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Previous experience in housekeeping operations required; supervisory or inspection experience preferred
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on hospitality demands, including weekends and holidays
  • Physically able to stand, walk, and perform tasks for extended periods throughout the shift
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to uphold cleanliness and quality standards
  • Reliable, accountable, and consistent in completing responsibilities
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests, team members, and leadership
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to support and collaborate with others
  • Commitment to delivering excellent service to both guests and fellow associates
