The Inn & Club at Harbour Town | The Sea Pines Resort
Position Summary
The Night Auditor plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional luxury guest experience while overseeing overnight front desk operations and completing the property's daily financial reconciliation. As the primary point of contact for guests during overnight hours, this position ensures seamless service, operational efficiency, guest safety, and accurate financial reporting in accordance with The Inn & Club at Harbour Town and The Sea Pines Resort standards. In addition to managing front office responsibilities throughout the night, the Night Auditor supports the transition to the day shift by assisting with early morning departures and setting up the complimentary continental breakfast, ensuring all food and beverage offerings are attractively presented, fully stocked, and ready for guests at the start of each day.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Perform all nightly audit functions, including balancing and reconciling guest accounts, room revenue, cash transactions, and daily financial activity.
  • Generate and distribute end-of-day reports for resort leadership and operational departments.
  • Serve as the primary front desk representative during overnight hours, delivering personalized, professional, and attentive guest service.
  • Process guest arrivals, departures, room assignments, reservations, billing inquiries, and payment transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, concerns, and emergencies while maintaining a calm, service-focused demeanor.
  • Monitor hotel activity throughout the night and coordinate with security and operational teams to ensure a safe and secure environment for guests and associates.
  • Handle guest concerns discreetly and resolve issues independently whenever possible.
  • Maintain accurate records, logs, and communications for incoming management and front office teams.
  • Assist with early morning guest departures and preparations for the day shift transition.
  • Set up, present, and replenish the complimentary continental breakfast each morning, ensuring food and beverage offerings are attractively displayed and prepared according to Inn & Club standards prior to guest service.
  • Ensure compliance with resort policies, procedures, and luxury hospitality service standards.
  • Support operational needs as assigned to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Required: Minimum of one (1) year of overnight hotel front desk experience or night audit experience in a hotel, resort, or luxury hospitality environment.
  • Previous experience working with hotel property management systems (PMS) preferred.
  • Strong understanding of front office operations, cash handling, and basic accounting principles.
  • Excellent communication, guest service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during overnight hours with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.
  • Professional appearance, demeanor, and commitment to providing a luxury guest experience.
  • Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office applications, and hotel management software.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform duties throughout an overnight shift.
  • Must be available to work overnight schedules, weekends, holidays, and peak resort periods.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
