Holiday Inn Express is seeking a dependable, skilled, and customer-focused Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the hotel's facilities, guest rooms, and equipment to ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our guests. If you enjoy solving problems, working with your hands, and being part of a team that delivers exceptional hospitality, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, and exterior grounds.
  • Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Repair and maintain plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, drywall, painting, flooring, doors, locks, and basic carpentry.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hotel equipment and appliances.
  • Inspect hotel facilities regularly to identify maintenance and safety issues.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel staff.
  • Maintain the pool, grounds, and parking areas (if applicable).
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Assist with room renovations and property improvement projects.
  • Maintain maintenance tools, equipment, and inventory.
  • Work with management to prioritize repairs and minimize guest disruptions.
  • Be available for occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, or emergency maintenance calls as needed.

Qualifications

  • Previous hotel maintenance, apartment maintenance, facilities maintenance, or related experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and painting.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair general maintenance issues.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, bend, climb ladders, and work in various indoor and outdoor conditions.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
