What You’ll Do

Your future starts here! The Sourcing Manager will drive supply chain excellence by managing a $90M resin category spend. This role will lead sourcing strategies for polymers and plastics, collaborating across Manufacturing, Finance, and Customer Service to optimize material costs and supplier performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a Category/Supplier Strategies for defined product material groups specifically focusing on resin, plastics, and engineered polymers.
  • Negotiate long term Supplier Agreements and Consignment/Stocking Programs to support key Royal and Customer requirements.
  • Manages supplier negotiations and reduces total cost to improve margins and support revenue growth per annual cost improvement (CIP) targets.
  • Provide timely supplier quotations for potential future business opportunities.
  • Organize Supplier Business Reviews with key Royal stakeholders.
  • Participate in company-wide A3, Project Management Teams, and other Continuous Improvement efforts.
  • Ensure compliance to Company regulatory processes, and procedures.
  • Review market trends and analysis to ensure best total cost offering for the Customer objectives.
  • Support the activities of the Customer Business Units with New Product Development, Supplier Selection, and project launch deliverables. Assist Engineering with the development of product specifications and substitute materials.
  • Assist Engineering with the development of product specifications and substitute materials (e.g., qualifying alternative resin grades, regrind usage, or sustainable polymers).
  • Review performance metrics for comparison and evaluation of supplier performance factors to implement needed action plans for business continuity. Support Supplier Quality on critical problem resolution.
  • Manage critical engineering change requests (MIS) and material obsolescence.
  • Ensure compliance to Company regulatory processes, and procedures.
  • Demonstrate Royal’s Core Values in all interpersonal interactions.
What You’ll Bring

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master’s in Purchasing, Business, or Supply Chain.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Manufacturing with Strategic Sourcing, Purchasing, or Commodity Management.
  • Deep knowledge in Resin categories (e.g., commodity plastics, engineered resins, colorants/masterbatches, and polymers)
  • Knowledge in Metals and Decorative categories (Paint, color, fabric)
  • Knowledge of ERP Demand Management software.
  • Organize internal Category reviews to assure alignment across the Company.
  • Analytical/accurate with data collection and reporting.
  • Service oriented, goal driven, ability to manage multiple tasks with fast paced team environment
  • Create workload balance and shared knowledge for risk mitigation.
