Midwest Recovery Centers is hiring for a Full Time Night Shift Residential Mental Health Technician!

Shift: 6 PM-6 AM

Midwest Recovery Centers provides quality treatment to the community of Kansas City, specializing in treatment for substance use disorders focusing on drug and alcohol dependence, addiction, and primary mental health disorders.  We are looking to add to our amazing staff who care for our patients and help facilitate their recovery, whether from substances or mental health crises.

About the Role:

The Residential Tech plays a crucial role in providing support and assistance to individuals in a residential mental health setting. This position is focused on ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for our patients, promoting their well-being and recovery. The Residential Tech will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to implement treatment plans and engage patients in meaningful activities. By fostering positive relationships and encouraging independence, the Residential Tech contributes to the overall success of the patients' mental health journey. Ultimately, this role is vital in helping individuals achieve their personal goals and improve their quality of life.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a mental health or residential detox care setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Mental Health First Aid or similar training.
  • Experience with crisis intervention techniques.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and support residents in daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans and therapeutic interventions.
  • Facilitate group activities and discussions to promote social skills and community integration.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of resident progress and incidents, reporting any concerns to the clinical team.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to create a supportive and nurturing environment.
  • Daily facilities cleaning duties
