Job description

Role: Residential Solar Installer

Position Overview: We are looking for talented, hardworking, experienced solar installers. Ideal candidates will be reliable with at least one year of experience and outstanding customer service and communication skills.

Job Responsibilities included but are not limited to:
  • Install solar PV systems on residential rooftops as well as groundmount systems, ensuring quality, code compliance, and system performance.
  • Work as part of a 24 person crew, collaborating effectively to complete installations safely and on schedule.
  • Install systems ranging from 5 kW to 25 kW, including layout, racking installation, panel placement, wiring, and system commissioning.
  • Work on a variety of roof types, including asphalt shingle, standing seam and corrugated metal, rubber membrane (EPDM/TPO), and other specialty roofs, using appropriate flashing and sealing methods for each.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and electrical schematics to plan and execute efficient, accurate installations.
  • Ensure all roof penetrations and attachments are properly flashed and sealed to prevent leaks and maintain roof integrity.
  • Follow safety protocols rigorously, including fall protection, electrical safety, and heat stress prevention, maintaining a clean and organized job site at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, and project managers.
  • Qualifications:
  • Solar installation experience and/or roofing & framing skills
  • Experience with safe use of ladders
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in carpentry
  • Understanding of applicable building and safety code requirements
  • Valid driver license with a clean driving record
  • Salary: Range from $18.00 - $32.00 per hour

    Education: High school diploma or equivalent

    Schedule: Day shift
