Residential Solar Installer
Compensation: $30--$36 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time
NY State Solar sells, designs, and build quality solar systems in New York! Our focus is to provide an outstanding customer experience and deliver a high quality PV system. Dedicated to helping New York become economically and environmentally sustainable.
A Residential Solar Installer will have specific solar experience and complete Residential solar panel installs.
Solar Installer Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assemble job components;
  • Layout and assembly of solar modules/array and mounting hardware;
  • Mechanical and structural mounting of racking, modules, and electrical equipment;
  • Basic electrical wiring of solar array/system (AC and DC)
  • Ensure proper clean-up of job site
  • Attend training sessions on new products, installation methodology, and safety;
  • Responsible for following the safe work practices for the installation team; and
  • All other assignments and special projects, as requested by Management.

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of Residential Installation Experience
  • Must be comfortable with being on roofs with pitched surfaces for extended periods of time, cannot have a fear of heights
  • Ability to lift 50-70 pound ladders, ability to climb ladders/stairs
  • Ability to work in extreme weather (hot and sunny as well as colder temperatures)
  • Clean Driver's license required
  • OSHA 10 required
  • Willing to work Saturdays/ overtime.
