We are seeking an experienced, driven, and people-focused Residential Sales Manager to lead and develop our residential sales team while helping drive continued growth throughout the Cary-Apex market.

Position Overview

The Residential Sales Manager is responsible for recruiting, coaching, developing, and leading a team of Residential Sales Associates while also helping drive revenue growth, accountability, and customer experience standards.

This role is ideal for a strong sales leader who enjoys mentoring people, building systems, improving performance, and creating a positive, winning culture.

The successful candidate will combine leadership, sales management, coaching, accountability, and operational coordination to help the team consistently achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals.

ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Development
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and coach Residential Sales Associates

  • Conduct regular ride-alongs, one-on-one meetings, and performance reviews

  • Develop accountability systems and performance tracking

  • Foster a positive, team-oriented, customer-focused culture

  • Lead weekly sales meetings and ongoing training initiatives

  • Assist team members with sales strategy, objection handling, and closing opportunities

Sales Management
  • Monitor sales pipeline activity, conversion rates, average job size, and profitability

  • Ensure sales processes and the CertaPro 10+1 Estimate Process are consistently followed

  • Review proposals and provide coaching for improved presentation and closing effectiveness

  • Support achievement of monthly and annual sales goals

  • Work closely with production and operations teams to ensure excellent customer experiences

Marketing & Growth
  • Help execute local marketing initiatives and territory development plans

  • Participate in home shows, networking events, and community outreach

  • Assist in identifying growth opportunities and improving lead conversion

Administrative & Operational Responsibilities
  • Ensure CRM activity is updated accurately and consistently

  • Prepare weekly sales reporting and performance analysis

  • Collaborate with ownership and leadership on forecasting and strategic planning

Qualifications
  • Previous sales leadership or sales management experience required

  • Strong track record in in-home sales, consultative sales, or residential services sales preferred

  • Proven ability to coach and develop salespeople

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills

  • Highly organized, goal-oriented, and accountable

  • Ability to motivate and inspire a team

  • Professional appearance and customer-first mindset

  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

Preferred Experience
  • Residential construction, painting, remodeling, or home services industry experience

  • Working knowledge of:

    • Interior and exterior coatings

    • Drywall and carpentry

    • EIFS/DRYVIT systems

    • Residential construction processes
