Residential Program ManagerRequirements: High School Diploma or Equivalent/ 2 years or more experience in Residential setting.Preferred: College degree/ 1 year experience in Human Services field (preferably in a residential setting)Compensation: Full-Time, HourlySupervisors: Program Coordinator Responsibilities:The Shift Supervisor is responsible for the smooth operation of the shelter during the shift. This person supervises the Direct Care Staff and assures that their job duties are carried out effectively and timely. This individual is responsible for maintaining a clean safe environment for the children and directing staff in activities which will allow the shelter to run effectively and serve the children in a therapeutic, safe, and healthy manner. Attend supervisor's meetings. Keep staff informed as to shelter population, scheduling of events, and work schedules. Authority:Direct the work of all program staff.Initiate supervision of workers and address job performance.Assure shift coverage is maintained according to guidelines established by agency.Review and confer with Program Coordinator regarding leave requests.Refer workers for promotions, transfer, or disciplinary actions. Financial:Emergency supply purchases with purchase orders, credit cards, as approved by the Executive Director or designee. Shelter Management:Ensure the admissions packets/discharge packets are in order, completed to admit/discharge a child to/from the facility.In absence of Program Coordinator, enroll child in school.Maintain open lines of communication with Program Coordinator and keep them informed as to all management decisions. Supervisory Duties:Oversee all Direct care Staff assigned to shift.Provide adequate shift coverage.Assure the proper supervision of children at all times.Hold regularly scheduled staff meetings with Direct care Staff to keep them informed regarding children and program issues.Perform as a working supervisor assisting in all duties as expected of Direct Care Staff.
