Job description

Based in Montreal, we specialize in residential, commercial, and structural renovation projects. We are currently looking for a skilled, versatile, and autonomous Residential Carpenter / Charpentier-Menuisier to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute a wide range of residential renovation and structural modification projects (framing, finishing, layout modifications, and repairs).
  • Read and interpret plans, blueprints, and project specifications.
  • Install framing, drywall backing, subflooring, interior trim, doors, windows, cabinetry, and exterior elements as required.
  • Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety standards, and Maja Construction’s quality guidelines.
  • Work independently on assigned tasks or collaborate effectively with crew members, subcontractors, and project leads.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: Proven experience as a carpenter in residential remodeling and structural renovation.
  • Autonomy: Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as effectively within a team environment.
  • Mobility: Must possess a valid driver’s license and own a personal vehicle/car to travel to various job sites across the Greater Montreal Area.
  • Skills: Proficiency with standard hand and power tools; strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Language: Functional communication skills in French and/or English.
