Standard Work Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm. MUST be willing to be flexible as jobs may change. 

Position Summary:


The Field Operations Manager - Plumbing will oversee and manage operations and project activities, implement plans, and lead a team of field employees including Superintendents and Foremen to achieve division objectives and maximize operating results. The Field Operations Manager is responsible for customer service, high level problem-solving, personnel development, project performance, and team accountability to company expectations. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Understand, teach, and manage field staff on the organizational processes.
  • Able to perform all duties and responsibilities of field employees, as needed. 
  • Able to supervise, manage, and commission the installation of relevant trade materials. 
  • Routinely coordinates scheduling with all departments and PCI Subcontractors throughout the lifecycle of a project including startup, excavations, and closeouts. 
  • Able to intervene in challenging situations and correctly assess problems with crews, personnel, and/or installed work; and then plan and implement a solution to get a project back on track. 
  • Be a professional representative of operational senior leadership. Responsible for high-level operational communication with customers, inspectors, and internal team members. 
  • Able to train, coach and mentor field staff to be more effective in their roles. 
  • Provide growth opportunities through coaching, managing performance, and mentoring.  
  • Provide on-site direction and leadership to field crews and site supervision as needed. 
  • Develop and implement across-the-board operational training as needed to assist the senior operations team in overall performance improvement at all field operational positions. 
  • Champion organizational best practices for planning and installing job materials.
  • Communicate with customer's senior field teams to instill confidence in company performance.
  • Make positive impacts to the overall operations team ability to put work in place, with a focus on safety, quality, cost, and timeliness.
  • Maintain knowledge of the national code and state-specific codes/amendments and understand how they are applied in projects in the surrounding areas.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Required: High School diploma or GED.
  • Required: Minimum 10 years relevant new-construction field work in supervisory roles.
  • Required: Exceptional understanding of the Electrical/HVAC/Plumbing construction industry.
  • Required: Experience in finding and repairing faults in Electrical/HVAC/Plumbing systems. 
  • Required: Proficient computer skills in Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, etc.).
  • Required: Valid driver's license.
  • Preferred: Licensed in relevant trade type (HVAC/Electrical/Plumbing).
  • Preferred: OSHA 30-hour training.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to adhere to standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting, and lifting.
  • Must be able to pick up, lift, carry and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE.
