RESIDENT SITE MANAGER - VALENTINE ROAD APARTMENTSLive Where You Lead & Make a Difference!Ventura Housing is looking for an experienced, compassionate, and hands-on Resident Site Manager to join our Property Operations team at Valentine Road Apartments.This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys property management, working with residents, building community, and making a meaningful difference. Valentine Road Apartments serves households transitioning out of homelessness, experiencing chronic homelessness, or at risk of homelessness, with a focus on long-term housing stability.SALARY & HOUSING BENEFITAnnual Salary: $63,698 - $79,623FLSA Status: Non-Exempt???? This position includes a RENT-FREE, on-site one-bedroom apartment!The apartment has an estimated value of $2,374 per month, based on 2025/2026 Fair Market Rent. Utilities are not included.Please Note: Living on-site at Valentine Road Apartments is a condition of employment and is required in accordance with Section 42 Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) requirements.WHAT YOU'LL DOAs the Resident Site Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of Valentine Road Apartments while helping create a safe, welcoming, and well-managed community for our residents.Key responsibilities include:Manage day-to-day property operations, leasing, occupancy, and resident matters.Build positive relationships with residents and provide responsive, professional customer service.Work closely with Case Management, Community Services, and partner agencies to support resident stability.Conduct annual recertifications, move-ins, move-outs, and other required property processes.Oversee rent collection, payment plans, notices, and related follow-up.Support leasing efforts and work to maintain strong occupancy.Conduct regular inspections of units, buildings, and property grounds and follow up on maintenance needs.Coordinate with Maintenance, vendors, contractors, and other departments.Ensure the property remains prepared for inspections and compliant with LIHTC, HUD, and other applicable requirements.Assist with property budgets, reports, records, and operational performance.Support safety and risk management efforts.Help foster a positive community focused on long-term housing stability.WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORWe are looking for someone who can balance strong property management skills with compassion, professionalism, accountability, and excellent customer service.Qualifications include:High School Diploma.At least two (2) years of on-site property management experience in affordable housing, specifically LIHTC properties, is highly preferred.Associate degree in Business Administration, Property Management, or a related field is preferred.Knowledge of affordable housing programs, tax credits, and HUD requirements.Experience working with households transitioning out of homelessness, experiencing chronic homelessness, or at risk of homelessness is preferred.Bilingual English/Spanish skills are highly desirable.Tax Credit, Property Management, Fair Housing, Business Administration, and Crisis Intervention training/certifications are preferred.Experience with Yardi, Adobe, and Microsoft applications is a plus.Must maintain a valid/current driver's license and be able to travel for Ventura Housing business.Must live on-site at Valentine Road Apartments as a condition of employment.WHY VENTURA HOUSING? ????At Ventura Housing, our work is about more than managing properties-it's about people, housing stability, and strengthening communities.You'll work alongside a collaborative team of Property Operations, Maintenance, Community Services, Case Management, and other professionals who share a commitment to serving our residents and community.READY TO LIVE WHERE YOU LEAD? ????If you're organized, compassionate, dependable, comfortable handling challenging situations, and passionate about creating strong communities, we'd love to hear from you!Apply today and bring your property management experience, customer service skills, and passion for helping others to Ventura Housing. ????????Ventura Housing is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
