Position SummaryRiverview Terrace Assisted Living is looking for compassionate Personal Service Attendants to support our tenants living in our facility.The Personal Service Attendant is under the supervision of the Nurse and is responsible for the well being of our tenants with a caring approach. Duties include providing daily support to our elderly tenants assisting with personal hygiene and preforming basic housekeeping duties, including cleaning and laundry. This includes conscientious reporting and documentation.The Personal Service Attendant functions in a responsible and professional manner with the policies, She/he demonstrates nursing care responsibility and accountability for assigned tenants and their families. The Personal Service Attendant accepts instruction and guidance from the nurse to provide interventions to achieve goals that are established for the plan of care meeting individual needs.Position QualificationsMust possess the following: Able to accept instruction and guidance, function effectively under stress. Have the ability to exercise judgement in problem situations. Be in good physical condition and able to withstand hours of standing, stooping, walking, bending, and sitting without injury. Manual dexterity, good eye-to hand coordination and adequate vision are needed in daily work. Able to read, speak and write fluent English. No activity restrictions noted on pre-hire physical and testing. Flexibility in working hours and assignments. Honest, empathetic and accountable. Able to assist in lifting residents transfers with staff assistance.
