Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Location: Wellspring Skilled Nursing and Rehab - Frankenmuth
Reports to: Director of Nursing (DON)
Position Type: Full-time orPart-Time | Hourly
Wellspring is a statewide nonprofit dedicated to serving seniors, families and children throughout Michigan. We are currently seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Frankenmuth Skilled Nursing and Rehab team. In this position, you will provide direct care and support to residents in Saginaw County.
Responsibilities
  • Provide direct resident care including assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, feeding, toileting, incontinent care, colostomy care, ambulation, transfers and range-of-motion exercises
  • Follow individualized care plans and report observations, changes in condition and resident preferences to nursing staff
  • Maintain resident dignity, privacy and comfort while fostering a warm, Christ-centered environment
  • Support residents' rights and promptly report concerns related to abuse, neglect or restraint use
  • Protect resident belongings and assist with locating missing items
  • Promote skin integrity through repositioning, pressure ulcer prevention and proper skin care
  • Respond promptly and courteously to call lights and resident needs
  • Assist with clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, weights, applying topical treatments and collecting specimens
  • Accurately complete CNA documentation in accordance with policy
  • Follow safety and infection control procedures including proper hand hygiene and use of personal protective equipment
  • Welcome and orient new residents and families during admissions and transfers

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Michigan required
  • Six months of CNA experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting preferred
  • Strong communication skills and commitment to compassionate resident-centered care

Schedule and Compensation
  • Employment Type: Full-time orPart-time
  • Schedule: Day Shift (6:00 am - 6:15 pm) or Night Shift (6:00 pm - 6:15 am)
  • Weekends: Every other weekend rotation required
  • Pay Rate: $20.40 - $22.90 per hour, based on licensure experience
  • Sign-on Bonus: $1,500 sign-on bonus available for Full-time**
  • Shift Differentials: $0.50 per hour for Night Shift
