Job description

This position is responsible for providing operational, management and administrative support functions for the Family Medicine Residency Program. This position requires excellent organizational skills, a high degree of initiative and independent judgment; and a desire to develop a comprehensive and detailed knowledge of national accreditation requirements and program-specific policy. Responsible for performing a variety of administrative tasks, some of which include program planning, budgeting, recruitment, monitoring and inputting program data, event coordination, and support of resident activities. Additional duties and other projects as assigned.
Major Responsibilities:
Assists the program director in ensuring the Georgia South Family Medicine Residency Program maintains and complies with all required accreditation and State and Federal rules, including, but not limited to those outlined by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education and Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services.
  • Ensure the program administration, faculty, and residents are meeting standards as outlined in accreditation requirements;
  • Ensure appropriate and timely submission of required reporting to Web Ads and Program reporting.
  • Assist in the facilitating of required committees to ensure compliance with required meetings and record keeping; and other duties as assigned.
  • Assist with onboarding, orientation and resident activities, and interview season, per program direction and requirements.
  • Coordinate with participating sites on all related residency activities, including PLAs and scheduling, and communication with preceptors, and site coordinators.

Knowledge and Skills: Preferred Bachelor's Degree and GME/Medical Education Experience
