Job description

Envision is recruiting an Anesthesiology Program Director to start a new Anesthesia Residency Program at AdventHealth Tampa. AdventHealth Tampa will be applying for accreditation of an Anesthesia Residency program beginning July 2027. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated leader to be involved in the cultivation of a fully supported, advanced, 3-year Anesthesiology program in Tampa Bay.

Associate Program Directors will also be considered with 3-5 years of experience. Highlights of Practice: Case mix: general, regional, cardiac, obstetrics, neuro, endo, cath lab, ortho, spine, vascular, rad, ENT, urology, peds Anesthesia care team is comprised of 21 MDs and 40 APPs covering 31 operative sites a day Training program is expected to have 6 Anesthesia Residents (PGY 2-4/ CA 1-3) per year Approximately a 60/40 split role between clinical/teaching and administrative duties once the program is established; initially, an 80/20 split during the application process Qualified Candidates: Must have experience as a Program Director, Assistant PD, or Core Faculty member in an ACGMEaccredited Anesthesiology program Must be ABA Board Certified Have previous leadership/administrative experience Responsibilities include: Authority and accountability for the operation of the Anesthesiology Residency Program Shepherding the application process Developing curriculum, policies, and procedures for the program Maintaining ACGME accreditation and state approvals Recruiting residents into the program Developing and executing competency evaluations of their performance Miscellaneous responsibilities to ensure the success of the program Participation with clinical daily and call duties Envision offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package including PTO, CME allowance, medical, dental, vision, short/long-term disability, parental leave, life insurance, 401(K) with employer contribution and 100% paid malpractice with tail coverage.
