Job description

  • Researching, writing, editing, and proofreading technical data for use in routine documents or sections of documents such as manuals, procedures, and specifications under supervision and following established procedures and formats
  • Ensuring documents meet editorial and government specifications and adhere to standards for quality, graphics, coverage, format, and style
  • Assisting in establishing style guidelines and standards for texts and illustrations
  • Maintaining documentation in content or document management systems
  • Editing proposal and/or marketing documentation

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Application of craft, vocational or administrative skills, and methods taught in specialized training and/or learned through formal apprenticeships
  • Intermediate level of proficiency to work on assignments of standard difficulty
