Sunday-Saturday, 7:00 AM – 9:00 PM – possible late hours and weekends.
Summary/Objective of Position:
Office Research Assistant interns will support the Student Affairs Department in the development, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive co-curricular program designed to enrich the student experience. This program promotes student growth through social, cultural, recreational, and educational activities. The intern will coordinate with internal departments, external organizations, and entertainers, while maintaining regular communication with students, faculty, and staff. This position is fully in-person and based on campus.

Description of Essential Functions of the Position

- Maintain a professional and welcoming relationship with students, staff, faculty, community partners, and external agencies.
- Support Title III Grant initiatives by assisting with research, data collection, reporting, and program documentation.
- Collect, organize, and maintain student feedback through surveys, assessments, and other research tools.
- Assist with analyzing and summarizing data related to student activities, engagement, wellness, and services.
- Prepare, edit, and distribute publications, newsletters, flyers, posters, and promotional materials.
- Assist with creating marketing materials to promote student programs, events, and campus resources.
- Support communication efforts through email announcements, social media content, and other outreach methods.
- Assist with planning, coordinating, and promoting student activities, workshops, and campus events.
- Support wellness initiatives by helping organize workshops, information booths, and engagement activities.
- Promote co-curricular programs focused on physical health, wellness, student success, and campus involvement.
- Assist with scheduling meetings, appointments, training sessions, and program activities.
- Coordinate facility reservations and event logistics with campus departments, student clubs, and community organizations.
- Maintain event equipment inventory, organize supplies, and assist with preparation and setup for activities.
- Provide administrative support through filing, data entry, recordkeeping, mail distribution, and office organization.
- Assist with maintaining accurate documentation for Title III-funded activities, purchases, events, and reports.
- Support compliance efforts by maintaining confidentiality of student, employee, and organizational information.
- Provide professional customer service and respond appropriately to questions from students and campus partners.
- Participate in required training, safety drills, and emergency procedures to support a safe learning environment.
- Demonstrate reliability, teamwork, communication skills, and professionalism in daily responsibilities.
- Support a welcoming campus environment by encouraging student participation and engagement.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
Minimum & Preferred:
- Minimum of a 2.5 term and cumulative GPA
- Be enrolled part-time (7+ credit hours) or a full-time student at Dine College in the Fall 2026 semester
- Must be enrolled in a degree program at Diné College and have completed at least 24 credit hours at the College.
- Must be in good academic and social standing.
Knowledge:
- Ability to perform accurate, detailed, and high-quality work with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population and collaborate professionally with members of the campus community.
- Ability to adapt and perform efficiently in a fast-paced, evolving work environment.
- Ability to adhere to established work rules, follow directions, manage time effectively, and consistently meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in operating an office workstation and utilizing standard office software, including word processing, spreadsheet, and related applications.
- Ability to comply with and follow all applicable College policies and procedures, plus the College's 3P Manual and Student Code of Conduct.

- Knowledge of Navajo culture and language preferred.
Abilities:
- Ability to perform moderately complex clerical duties, including assisting with data collection, compiling statistics, and maintaining long-range calendars
- for multiple venues and programs.
- Ability to coordinate multiple recreational, educational, and social programs simultaneously while maintaining organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal exposure to safety or health hazards, while remaining adaptable to varied
- work settings as needed.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, based on programmatic and operational needs.
Physical Requirements, Work Environment & Travel:
- The position requires average ability and good physical condition;
- The ability to lift and carry moderately heavy materials weighing up to approximately 25 to 50 pounds;
- Work may require sitting, near vision use for reading and computer use, lifting, stooping, bending, stretching, walking, standing, pushing, pulling, reaching, and other physical exertion.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to speak fluently in Navajo, but not mandatory.
