This field includes the management of data, software, hardware, and digital infrastructure to support research activities. Professionals in Research Technology help design, implement, and maintain technology solutions that facilitate collaboration, data analysis, and the sharing of findings. Their work is critical in ensuring that researchers have reliable and efficient access to the technological resources necessary for innovation and discovery.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in Research Technology?

To thrive in Research Technology, you need a solid background in scientific research methods, data analysis, and information technology, often supported by relevant degrees such as computer science or engineering. Familiarity with programming languages (like Python or R), database management systems, and research software tools is typically required, along with certifications in data science or IT.
