Job Title:Research TechDepartment:EHE | Human Sciences Administration

Department of Human Sciences in the College of Education and Human Ecology is seeking a Research 4 Technical. This position will work collaboratively with a research team to develop policy briefs, reports, and other written materials using data from the Ohio Medicaid Assessment Survey (OMAS), with a focus on topics affecting older adults' health and well-being. The individual will contribute to research activities, support efforts to secure external funding, and develop scholarly publications related to health policy, family violence, and other public health issues. Provide scientific and methodological expertise on state-funded research projects, including OMAS, Adult Protective Services quality assurance initiatives, and evaluations of online child abuse prevention programs

75% - Collaborate with research team members to analyze and interpret data from the Ohio Medicaid
Assessment Survey (OMAS) and other state-funded research initiatives. Prepare policy briefs, technical reports,
presentations, and other written materials focused on older adults' health, health policy, family violence, and
related public health topics. Lead and contribute to the development of peer-reviewed manuscripts for
publication in scholarly journals.
25% - Scholarly writing, manuscripts, policy briefs, and dissemination activities and Mentoring, service activities,
and other related duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required; 5 years of relevant experience required with High School diploma or GED, 3 years of relevant experience required with Associate's Degree, or 1 years of relevant experience required with Bachelor's Degree.

Additional Information:

Desired qualification: Doctorate degree in exercise or nutritional biomedical science or equivalent education and experience. Experience in grant writing, conducting research, publishing papers, presenting findings and teaching trainees.
