    • Position Summary
    • Temporary hourly-intermittent work study student assistant position available in McNair TRIO Grant.
    • Start Date
    • Position available on or after September 1, 2026 and ending on or before May 21, 2027. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.
    • Job Description/Duties
    • Duties include but are not limited to:
      • Answer emails and directing to the appropriate personnel.
      • Manage incoming and outgoing mail.
      • File and organizing documents.
      • Assist with data entry and maintaining spreadsheets.
      • Schedule appointments and managing calendars.
      • Greet and assist visitors.
      • Provide information and assistance to students, faculty, and staff.
      • Respond to inquiries in person, via email, and over the phone.
      • Assist in resolving issues or directing to appropriate resources.
      • Assist in preparing and setting up materials for events or meetings.
      • Support faculty or staff with research or projects as needed.
      • Help with the creation of presentations, flyers, or other materials.
      • Keep the work area organized and clean.
      • Monitor office supplies and notifying the supervisor of inventory needs.
      • Ensure that office equipment is in good working order.
      • Assist with basic troubleshooting of office equipment (e.g., printers, copiers).
      • Support digital tasks such as updating websites, social media, or other online platforms.
      • Assist in the setup of technology for meetings or presentations.
      • Help organize and manage events, workshops, or seminars.
      • Set up and taking down event materials and equipment.
      • Assist in the registration or sign-in process for events.
      • Maintain accurate records of attendance, work hours, and other required documentation.
      • Other duties as assigned.

    • Required Qualifications:
      • Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
      • Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.
    • Salary Range
    • $16.90 per hour
