Job description

Position Overview
Putnam is seeking a talented and detail-oriented individual to support the execution of primary market research studies. The ideal candidate will provide direct support to consulting teams and will focus on improving Putnam's data collection capabilities. The role requires a team-player who thrives in a fast-paced deadline driven environment and takes a proactive approach to problem solving. This role will operate within Putnam's growing market research department which is tasked with providing fieldwork-specific support to Putnam consulting teams in all aspects of primary market research.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
  • Leading the recruitment of research respondents for Putnam market research studies.
  • Growing and maintaining Putnam's internal recruiting database.
  • Coordinating and scheduling qualitative interviews.
  • Assisting with the bidding process when soliciting bids from recruiting partners.
  • Overseeing logistical aspects of the Quant research process, including respondent recruitment, survey translations, analysis of fielding statistics, coordination with survey programmers, survey testing, vendor management, and honorarium fulfillment.
  • Overseeing logistical aspects of the Qual research process, including recruitment, translations, scheduling, recordings and transcripts.
  • This person will act as a liaison between research participants and Putnam consulting teams and will be responsible for inspiring and mobilizing participants to engage in research activities.

Desired Skills and Experience
  • 0-2 years of primary market research fieldwork experience.
  • Familiarity with primary research data collection and working with fieldwork panels.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Social Sciences, Psychology, Sociology preferred.
  • High-level of comfort working with Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Word.
  • Experience with Qualtrics or other survey programming software is beneficial, but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong in analytical, data driven acumen.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced growth-oriented environment.
