The Role

As a CoStar Multifamily Research Manager, you will be leading a team of Researchers who are responsible for reaching out to key decision makers representing and managing various multifamily properties across the country. CoStar Group's research contributes to an important segment of our economy, helping businesses attract future renters, plan future construction, and stay ahead in the market. Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 10 plus Multifamily Researchers dedicated to delivering comprehensive market coverage of accurate and complete information to CoStar clients

  • Ensure continuous delivery of timely, comprehensive, and accurate information whilst providing CoStar clients with the highest standard of customer service

  • Conduct regular call evaluations, training, and mentoring sessions with your team. Coaching and guiding your team to produce meaningful telephone interactions consisting of effective questioning, listening, probing, and sharing of information

  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members through individual development plans tailored to skills, competency, and career development that results in a center of excellence

  • Prepare quarterly plans outlining planned improvements in data coverage/depth, relationships, and talent management initiatives

  • Investigate information resources of the assigned work to ensure all data sources are researched; information is captured, inputted, and published in a timely manner and to the highest quality standards

Basic Qualifications

We expect external applicants to have the following education/experience combination:

  • Bachelors' degree completed from an accredited, not for profit, in-person university or college

  • 2+ years of experience managing a team of 6 or more individuals

  • 2+ years of experience in a professional, corporate environment. Preferably within CRE, Multifamily Management, or another related field

  • A track record of commitment to prior employers

  • Microsoft Office 365 experience required

  • Microsoft Excel experience required

  • Flexibility to work all time zone shifts

We expect internal applicants to have the following education/experience combination:

  • Bachelors' degree required coupled with 2+ years Commercial Real Estate experience

  • Currently a Senior or Principal Researcher with at least 6 months in the role

  • Good standing with corrective action

  • Flexibility to work all time zone shifts

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated interest and/or experience in the commercial real estate industry

  • Experience with creating effective KPIs and meeting performance metrics, being results-oriented

  • Leadership and management skills, including the ability to prioritize and control workload of a team, coaching, and mentoring on professional development

  • Ability to work as part of a team

  • Success in building strong, cohesive teams by leading and motivating towards action/execution through influence and collaboration

  • Ability to articulate and execute corporate strategy, well-communicated with the ability to influence

  • Experience and demonstrated proficiency with Excel that includes the ability to manipulate data, filter, and develop basic formulas. We give all qualified candidates an assessment to determine their knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Creative problem solving, attention to detail, objectivity, and the ability to think strategically

  • Analytical approach with the ability to interpret information and trends, adapting quickly

  • Ability to interact at all levels and establish rapport with both internal and external stakeholders

The final salary or hourly rate offered for this role with fall within the range set forth below based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.

Base Compensation: $95,000 - $100,000 (Annually)
