SUMMARY:The Pediatric Health Disparities Research Program at Rhode Island Hospital/Brown Medical School seeks a Spanish-fluent full-time clinical research assistant for pediatric behavioral health research studies. These innovative projects utilize a multi-method, in-depth approaches to characterize asthma, sleep patterns and sleep settings of urban elementary-school-aged children in combination with biological measures that may differ based on children's ethnic background and may contribute to asthma outcomes.These studies are taking place through the Childhood Asthma Research Program (CARP) lab, which conducts research studies examining pediatric health disparities and developing interventions to improve health and sleep outcomes in children and youth. Faculty supervisors are members of the Brown Clinical Psychology Training Consortium and actively involved in research and clinical work with children.Specific tasks will include assistance with research participant recruitment and scheduling, administering semi-structured interviews and questionnaires to children and their parents, preparing and summarizing study results, and other tasks integral to research. Some amount of involvement in other studies in the lab will occur on an ad hoc basis. Pay Range:

$41,537.60-$68,556.80
