Job description

Clinical Faculty: General Gastroenterology

Our organization, in collaboration with the University of Arizona, is seeking a passionate Gastroenterologist to enhance our Digestive Services program in the vibrant desert metro area. This academic health science center fosters a collegial atmosphere and provides a strong infrastructure that supports translational research and the training of future physicians. This is a remarkable opportunity for a skilled physician-scientist or clinical leader to influence the future of Motility care, spearhead innovative clinical research, and guide the next generation of academic gastroenterologists.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and expand a comprehensive clinical research program with institutional support.
  • Guide junior faculty, fellows, and trainees in clinical practice, academic growth, and research initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with specialists in nutrition, surgery, pathology, and radiology to provide integrated patient care.
  • Maintain an active clinical practice.
  • Partner with the Division Chief of Gastroenterology/Hepatology.
Qualifications:
  • MD or DO with board certification in Gastroenterology.
  • Eligibility for licensure in Arizona.
  • Proven history of excellence and academic contributions.
  • Strong background in clinical and/or translational research in Motility.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and a dedication to mentorship and team development.
  • Eligibility for appointment at the Assistant/Associate Professor level.
