UNIV DEAN FOR ACADEMIC AFFAIRSBargaining Unit:NoConduct quantitative and qualitative research and evaluation studies to support educational programs administered by the University. Design and implement evaluation plans, manage data collection and analysis, and produce reports and data visualizations that inform program improvement and decision-making. Collaborate closely with program stakeholders and internal teams to ensure high-quality, actionable evaluation findings.Responsibilities will include: Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses utilizing a variety of data sets and databases to evaluate the programs and produce effective data visualizations. Maintain proficient working knowledge of data sources and processes related to program operational, reporting, and evaluation needs. Perform data analysis (including production of summary statistics) to produce program reports on topics such as: profile of students served, program engagement, and key outcomes of interest. Participate in the design and implementation of qualitative and quantitative evaluation plans. Liaise with program partners throughout projects to engage them in the project, keep them apprised of progress and issues that arise, and discuss results. Ensure data quality and completeness. Manage projects and project teams effectively and efficiently to deliver high-quality, actionable data and evaluation to project partners on time. Create and manipulate large, complex datasets from multiple sources. Communicate evaluation findings in written reports, briefs, data visualizations, and presentations for a variety of audiences. Respond to ad hoc requests in a timely and accurate manner.Must possess a Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Data Analytics, Education, or a closely related field. Must have at least 3 years experience working in applied research setting. Must also possess demonstrated knowledge in research and evaluation methods and a strong understanding of statistical concepts and demonstrated proficiency in the use of statistical software (STATA and/or R) to analyze and manipulate large data sets with complex structures. Experience employing quasi-experimental quantitative methods in program evaluation (such as propensity score matching, linear regression, or logistic regression); translating research findings into deliverables for diverse types of audiences; and using qualitative research methods also required. Must also possess familiarity with matching data sets and manipulating large amounts of data from multiple sources and demonstrated skill in managing evaluation and/or research projects. Must be detail-oriented, with an ability to keep accurate, well-organized records; and possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Must possess demonstrated interest in issues of access to and success in postsecondary education. Telecommuting permitted.
