Description:
  • Developmental position for growth into strategic marketing. Generates and executes plans and programs under the supervision of the Business Development Manager.
  • Contributes to opportunity assessments in conjunction with Marketing and R&D teams to gain expertise in strategic planning and new product development.
  • Assists with necessary target screening and due diligence work, potentially leading to full business cases on growth opportunities identified.
  • Helps complete approved assessments and full business case presentations for review by senior management.
  • The Intern may be assigned additional projects involving new market assessment and business plan development upon demonstrated success with the existing duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Analyzes business and clinical information in order to assess the attractiveness of new markets
  • Research and analyze sales trends and forecast potential sales volume
  • Construct market models and forecasts for New Product Development (NPD) and New Business Development efforts
  • Collaborate with NPD and assess technology solutions to market needs
  • Contribute to the NPD process by providing appropriate input on value proposition, product design, claim strategy, customer needs
