This Opportunity

For over 40 years the Komline-Filtra team has specialized in custom engineered industrial and separation filtration solutions serving industries such as metalworking, water/wastewater treatment, chemical, mining, and steel. With over 60 patents and 21,000 systems installed across 37 countries, Komline-Filtra Systems offers a wide range of products ranging from water purification, coolant/oil filtration, air/mist collectors, and pressure filters.

The Business Development Manager is charged with growing business organically through new clients, as well as, growing the business of established clients. This is a position for a sales professional who has expertise in air filtration for industrial services, who will develop a structured sales and marketing approach including cold-calling, prospecting, consulting, questioning, problem-solving and relentless follow-up.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develops an in-depth understanding of our products for air filtration and our customer base
  • Identifies new opportunities for sales growth of our various products
  • Generates and maintains a pipeline of prospects through cold-calling, emails and personal visits
  • Owns the sales cycle from the lead to initial discussions, to deal closure
  • Interviews potential customers to determine their needs
  • Delivers to the organization relevant competitor pricing and product data
  • Uses problem solving and consulting skills to help customers improve their business
  • Uses our salesforce CRM system to keep customer information and contacts up to date
  • Maintains multiple existing key accounts simultaneously while prospecting daily
  • Generates proposed solutions and prepare quote for customer review
  • Develop Preventive Maintenance Agreements
  • Stays abreast of emerging trends in the filtration industry
  • Travels by car or airline as needed for customer visits, tradeshows and closing deals
  • Occasional overnight stays when required
  • Attends tradeshows and occasionally exhibits at a booth
  • Leads and participates in tradeshow seminars relating to our products
  • Creates and performs sales presentations
  • Follows up promptly on new opportunities
  • Assists in keeping our website and sales media current and up to date
  • Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and ten (10)+ years of proven success in a professional Sales role
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present ideas, negotiate with clients, and collaborate with internal teams
  • Experience in sales, including the ability to pitch, close deals, and negotiate terms
  • The ability to develop and implement long-term growth strategies, including market research, identifying potential business opportunities and forecasting business trends
  • Expertise in establishing and maintaining relationships with clients, partners, and other stakeholders
  • Ability to work well with cross-functional teams, lead projects and drive initiatives to completion
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
