Job Summary:
Broadcom provides IT management solutions to help customers manage complex IT environments. The R&D Engineer Software 3 role involves researching and developing innovative solutions within a scrum team in an agile environment, focusing on delivering high-quality software solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Research and develop innovative new solutions that will help to shape the future direction of Broadcom.
• Work within a scrum team in an agile development environment, with an opportunity to gain exposure to many of the key agile roles.
• Participate in design and code reviews.
• Participate in test plan reviews and develop automated test scripts to deliver high quality software solutions.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development.
• BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree.
• Prior experience as a developer in VSE, z/VM or z/OS platforms.
• Strong Assembler skills.
• Knowledge and related product expertise in one or more of the VSE subsystems, POWER and CICS.
Preferred:
• Experience working in mainframe VSE environments - z/VM, VSE JCL.
• Experience with mainframe VSE programming languages - Assembler and REXX, VSE macro.
