We are searching for a motivated & experienced R&D Administrator

Responsible for maintaining data and information files pertaining to products, experiments, ingredients and formulas. Prepare all required reports and manage all information in department databases.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Schedules, and participate in meetings with R&D team. Prepare meeting agenda and recaps.
  • Responsible for managing New Product Requests from the Sales team and maintaining consistent communication with appropriate parties regarding new projects.
  • Prepares R&D reports and summaries for distribution to the appropriate personnel.
  • Performs various administrative duties and provides support for R&D Team involved with new product experiments.
  • Compiles data and maintains accurate daily logs based on research, experiments and as requested, as it applies to R&D
  • Maintains accurate records for the R&D department, to include tracking tasks and all projects.
  • Responsible for fulfilling customer sample requests to include all necessary steps and to facilitate shipment of samples interdepartmentally.
  • Assists with Kosher OU program, request approval for all ingredients and finished goods.
  • Handles new ingredient procedure, to include obtaining technical documents, various systems and platforms. Responsible for sourcing/researching new ingredients and maintaining appropriate communication with vendors.
  • Performs child nutrition/whole grain analysis on assigned items and addresses all related customer inquiries.
  • Responsible for initiating the new item process and developing SKU initiations.
  • Responsible for creating, changing, and maintaining all experiment folders with formulas and all pertinent specification information.
  • Researches and responds to inquiries from Sales & Marketing, customers and/or consumers regarding ingredients and products.
  • Responsible for organizing bake-offs, review experiments and report status updates and next steps to the team.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required.
  • Works with various departments to compile and generate Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) for experiments and new items.

In addition to the essential duties and responsibilities listed above, all positions are also responsible for:

  • Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work-related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
  • Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments. Must follow all Company Safety policies, as well as all GMP regulations
Required Qualifications
  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • 2โ€“4 years of experience in an R&D support role, preferably within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Culinary, pastry, food science, or related manufacturing background preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow simple to complex instructions, technical documents, correspondence, and procedures.
