Assistant, Associate or Full Professor, Multiple Myeloma, on the Clinician Scholar pathway
The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Fred Hutch) and the University of Washington (UW) are jointly recruiting a full-time faculty member at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor level without tenure due to funding (WOT), in the Clinical Research Division of the Fred Hutch (primary appointment) and the Division of Hematology and Oncology, Department of Medicine at the UW (joint appointment). The academic appointment at the University of Washington will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and academic rank. University of Washington Assistant Professors WOT are eligible for multi-year appointments and Associate Professors and Full Professors WOT hold indefinite appointments that both align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.
The successful candidate will be appointed on the Clinician Scholar track and will have protected time for research, teaching, and mentorship. They will be expected to contribute to our mission of delivering outstanding clinical care and developing excellence in clinical research in multiple myeloma and related plasma cell disorders. In addition, the candidate will have the opportunity and resources to develop their own clinical research programs.
Fred Hutch and University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service. Teaching responsibilities will involve oversight of advanced practice providers and fellows during inpatient and outpatient rotations, and delivery of informal teaching sessions and formal lectures to providers and the general medical community.
Faculty are expected to perform their primary activities on-site at Fred Hutch.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a record of and primary interest in hematology / hematological malignancies, as well as an active clinical research interest, as demonstrated by peer-reviewed publications, in the diagnosis and treatment of multiple myeloma and related plasma cell disorders.
Applicants must have an MD/DO degree (or foreign equivalent), board certification in Medical Oncology or Hematology/Oncology (or foreign equivalent), and must be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Washington.

The annual base salary range for this position is from $315,000 to $335,000 for faculty hired at the Assistant Professor rank, from $350,000 to $375,000 for faculty hired at the Associate Professor rank, and from $385,000 to $400,000 for faculty hired at the Professor rank. This position is incentive eligible. Pay for Faculty positions is based on a variety of factors, including degree, specialty, clinical practice and experience. This position is eligible for relocation assistance or a sign-on bonus.
Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center offers employees a comprehensive benefits package designed to enhance health, well-being, and financial security. Benefits include medical/vision, dental, flexible spending accounts, life, disability, retirement, family life support, employee assistance program, onsite health clinic, tuition reimbursement, paid vacation (22 days per year), paid sick leave (up to 30 calendar days per occurrence of a qualifying reason), paid holidays (up to 13 days per year), paid parental leave (up to 4 weeks), and partially paid sabbatical leave (up to 12 months).
Although Fred Hutch is not sponsoring most H-1B visas at this time, candidates who already hold an H-1B sponsored by another organization and are currently in the U.S. may be eligible for this position.
