Job description

Do you enjoy technology, problem-solving, and learning new skills?

We're looking for an Assistant Web Developer to join our Technology team and help support America’s Preferred Home Warranty (APHW) websites, SharePoint environments, and digital platforms.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to build hands-on experience in web development, content management, and digital technologies while working on projects that support teams across the organization.

Why APHW

APHW offers a collaborative culture where employees are encouraged to grow, contribute, and share ideas. Whether working remotely, in a hybrid environment, or collaborating across departments, you'll be part of a team that values continuous improvement and professional development.

What You’ll Do:

  • Maintain and update website content across APHW websites and digital platforms.
  • Support the development and maintenance of Microsoft SharePoint sites, pages, document libraries, navigation, and content organization.
  • Conduct website maintenance, including content updates, link checks, image optimization, and general quality reviews.
  • Troubleshoot website issues and assist with testing across browsers, devices, and responsive layouts.
  • Help ensure websites maintain consistent branding, navigation, accessibility, and user experience standards.
  • Support SEO, website accessibility initiatives, and website analytics reporting.
  • Document website changes and technical processes.
  • Collaborate with departments across the organization on website and digital projects.
  • Perform other duties and assist with technology projects as assigned.

What we’re looking for:

  • Working knowledge of HTML5 and CSS; basic JavaScript knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience working with content management systems and website content updates.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint or the ability to learn.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple requests while maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Associate degree, technical training, or equivalent hands-on experience in web development, IT, digital media, computer science, or a related field.
  • Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply. Relevant coursework, internships, freelance work, or personal web projects may substitute for professional experience.
  • Experience with website accessibility, SEO, Google Analytics, Git/GitHub, or digital asset tools is a plus.

Benefits:

  • Health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid training
  • Paid holidays
  • Paid time off (up to 5 weeks)
  • Employee referral bonus
  • Parenting Time benefit
  • Ramsey SmartDollar, ADP LifeMart, and LifeCare resources
