The Brown Research Group within the Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, and Epidemiology department in the Vaccine and Infectious Disease Division at the Fred Hutch is actively seeking a highly motivated Post-Doctoral Research Fellow with a keen interest in infectious disease research, biostatistics, and epidemiology. The research fellow will contribute to ongoing clinical trials conducted in collaboration with the research group, including HPV vaccine trials funded by the Gates Foundation, infectious disease treatment and prevention studies led by the Infectious Disease Clinical Research Consortium, and HIV prevention trials conducted by the HIV Prevention Trials Network. The candidate will work under the supervision of Dr. Elizabeth Brown and collaborate with other researchers at the Fred Hutch as well as external scientists.


  • Utilize data from completed trials and studies to lead analyses and publications based on individual research interests.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement advanced statistical and epidemiological methods.
  • Contribute to the development of novel statistical methods and clinical trial and other study designs.
  • Communicate research findings through presentations at conferences and publication in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Assist in grant writing and reporting.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ph.D. in biostatistics, epidemiology, or a related field.
  • Strong background in statistical methods and data analysis.
  • Proficiency in statistical software packages (e.g., R, SAS, Stata).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully as part of a diverse team with a commitment to equity and inclusion..

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with infectious disease research preferred but not required.

The annual base salary range for this position is from $80,172 to $95,014, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
This position is not eligible for H-1B sponsorship at this time.
