Job description

 ARS is seeking a Senior Security Manager to support full-spectrum security operations and classified program requirements for the Cyber Resiliency Office for Weapon Systems (CROWS).

The Security Manager provides full-spectrum security management support to CROWS, integrating information, personnel, physical, industrial, operations, communications, and cybersecurity requirements. The position supports security activities within SCI and SAP environments and works directly with Government program managers, supervisors, employees, and contractor personnel to ensure compliance with applicable DoD and Department of the Air Force security requirements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and support information, personnel, physical, industrial, operations, communications, force protection, and anti-terrorism security programs.
  • Support SCI/SAP security requirements and assist with Special Security Representative duties, including opening and closing SCI facilities when appointed.
  • Provide security guidance and recommendations to Government program managers, supervisors, employees, contractors, and integrated process teams.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, Emergency Action Plans, Fixed Facility Checklists, Security Classification Guides, and Program Security Directives.
  • Assist the SSO with annual secure-facility self-inspections and security compliance activities.
  • Support cybersecurity initiatives protecting classified and sensitive information, including security risk assessments, threat/vulnerability analysis, mitigation recommendations, security overlays, and classification guidance.
  • Process and track Program Access Requests and associated SAP documentation, including compelling-need letters and waivers.
  • Maintain personnel security information, clearance verification, access records, billets, and related databases using systems such as DISS and AF ADS.
  • Conduct and support security education, in-processing, out-processing, briefings, debriefings, and classified-material marking requirements.
  • Support program protection, technology control, CUI protection, classification management, and compliance with applicable DoD, DAF, and Intelligence Community requirements.
  • Support development and implementation of security metrics and scorecards for monitoring requirements, controls, incidents, and overall compliance.
  • Travel throughout organizational areas of responsibility as required; travel may be extensive and include both air and ground transportation.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/ Technical Experience Requirements:

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in a related field with at least 10 years of relevant experience, including 5 years within the DoD; OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with at least 12 years of relevant experience, including 5 years within the DoD; OR
  • At least 15 years of directly related experience with applicable certifications as required by the PWS, including 8 years within the DoD.
  • Must possess and maintain an active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) clearance; Tier 5 investigation required.
  • Experience as a Security Manager within the DoD or a similar organization.
  • Advanced working knowledge of information, industrial, personnel, physical, and operations security programs.
  • Experience supporting and integrating security requirements within SCI and SAP environments.
  • Ability to maintain access to SIPRNet and JWICS and perform opening/closing duties for classified facilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, apply applicable security standards and procedures, and provide oversight or guidance to junior and journeyman personnel.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required, potentially extensively, by both air and ground transportation.
