We are seeking a dynamic, full-time Sales Development Specialist to join our talented team!


Position Summary

The Sales Development Specialist is crucial to expanding Brothers International's customer base for both our branded and private label businesses. This individual will focus on identifying new retail opportunities, conducting targeted research to understand potential customers, and making initial contact to qualify leads. They will work closely with the VP, CPG Sales and the broader sales team to refine outreach strategies and ensure a smooth hand-off of qualified prospects to the sales team. This role is perfect for a highly motivated, inquisitive, and detail-oriented professional eager to learn the CPG sales landscape and contribute directly to building a robust sales pipeline.


Duties & Responsibilities:

Market Research & Prospecting:

  • Conduct in-depth research to identify potential new retail partners (e.g., grocery chains, mass merchandisers, specialty stores, e-commerce platforms) for Brothers' branded and private label products.
  • Utilize various tools (e.g., LinkedIn, industry directories, trade show lists, company websites) to identify key decision-makers and relevant contacts within target organizations (e.g., Category Managers, Buyers, Private Label Directors).
  • Help build and maintain a comprehensive database of prospective customer information, including contact details, product interests, and relevant business insights.


Initial Outreach & Qualification:

  • Craft and execute initial outreach campaigns (primarily email, LinkedIn messages) to introduce Brothers International Food, LLC and gauge prospect interest.
  • Conduct initial qualification of leads to determine their potential fit and readiness for a sales conversation.
  • Learn to articulate Brothers' value proposition for both branded and private label offerings.
  • Support the development of compelling and personalized outreach messages that resonate with target audiences.


Sales Enablement Support:

  • Assist in organizing and maintaining sales collateral, presentations, and product information to ensure the sales team has easy access to up-to-date resources.
  • Help prepare briefing documents for the sales team before prospect meetings, summarizing key research findings and contact details.
  • Learn to analyze basic sales data to understand which outreach methods and customer segments are most effective.
  • Provide feedback to the sales and marketing teams on the effectiveness of sales tools and messaging.


Lead Hand-off & CRM Management:

  • Seamlessly hand off qualified leads to the appropriate Sales Manager for further development and relationship building.
  • Accurately record all prospecting activities, research findings, and customer interactions in available systems.
  • Help ensure the integrity and accuracy of sales data related to new prospects.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Business, Marketing or related discipline.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in a customer centric role involving research, communication and customer interaction.
  • Internship in sales, marketing, or business development are a plus.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Familiarity with or strong interest in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry and retail landscape.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation: In the spirit of pay transparency, the starting pay for this role is between $45k - $60k per year.

The range listed above represents a good-faith anticipated range for this position. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, and experience. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position.
