Job description

TWCUYC is looking for a volunteer who can help identify and secure funding opportunities that support our programs and mission. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys research, writing, and helping nonprofits grow their impact.

What Youโ€™ll Do

  • Research foundation, corporate, and government grant opportunities
  • Identify funding opportunities that align with our programs
  • Review grant guidelines and determine eligibility
  • Assist with grant applications and supporting documents
  • Track deadlines and maintain a grant calendar
  • Help maintain a pipeline of prospective funders
  • Assist with reporting and other fundraising projects as needed

What Weโ€™re Looking For

  • Strong research skills
  • Strong writing and proofreading skills
  • Ability to interpret funding guidelines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work independently
  • Experience with grant writing, fundraising, nonprofit development, or professional writing is preferred but not required

Time Commitment

A minimum of 8 hours per week is required. Additional availability is welcomed based on project needs and grant deadlines.
