Animal Care Technician – Ball Python Care Tech

Location: Xenia, Ohio 45385

Hours: Typically 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Reports to: Department Supervisor

Schedule: Weekend and holiday work may be required. Occasional overtime may be available.

About the Job

We are looking for a dependable Ball Python Care Tech to help care for our ball pythons.

Your main job is simple: keep the animals healthy, clean, fed, and properly cared for.

This is a hands-on job that involves working with snakes, feeder rodents, animal waste, water, and cleaning supplies.

What You'll Do
  • Feed and water ball pythons.
  • Clean and disinfect enclosures.
  • Handle juvenile and adult snakes.
  • Check animals for signs of illness or injury.
  • Give medications as directed.
  • Monitor temperature and humidity.
  • Help with breeding and egg incubation.
  • Handle feeder rodents and insects.
  • Keep your work area clean and organized.
  • Report animal health concerns to your supervisor.
  • Follow daily care and cleaning schedules.

  • Experience working with reptiles or snakes.
