Job description

If you are a highly motivated Medical Assistant or RN with a passion for fertility and women's health, we have an exciting opportunity as an IVF Coordinator for you to join our team at RBA - Reproductive Biology Associates at our Marietta practice.
Hours: Monday-Friday 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., with one weekend per month rotation and one holiday per year.
Responsibilities:
  • Performs general nursing care to patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards.
  • Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatment, examination and testing of patients.
  • Observes, records and reports patient's condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to physicians. Dispenses medication as directed.
  • Ability to schedule basic monitoring appointments, treatments and procedures. Assessment and triage of patients in emergency situations. Arranges for patient testing and admission.
  • New patient appointments, greets patients, screens for appropriate information, prepare patients for physical exam, new patient teaching material reviewed, appropriate lab requisitions filled out, follow-up appointments scheduled, explains tests and instructs patients regarding collection of samples and answers questions pertaining to infertility work-up and protocols.
  • Maintains and reviews patient records, charts and pertinent information. Assessment of laboratory and test results for normal and abnormal ranges. Reviews all labs and tests with physicians and informs patients of results. Documents accurate and pertinent information including phone conversations with patients, questions asked and answered, prescriptions called to the pharmacy and reportable labs and tests.
  • Responsible for all laboratory related functions: opening and closing of lab, preparing intrauterine insemination specimens, cleaning of instruments and machines, stocking of supplies, properly disposing of bio-hazardous waste, performing urine and hgb tests, proper refrigeration of all blood work and cultures.
  • Additional duties may be required and discussed during interview.

Job specifications/requirements:
  • Valid Georgia nursing license (ASN or BSN) RN is required.
  • Completion of Medical Assistant program, receiving diploma and certification is required.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills a must
  • Women's health or infertility background highly desired
