Job description

Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist III - Float to support our clientโ€™s medical facility in Clifton, NJ.ย  This is a 2+month contract with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Title: Phlebotomist III - Float

Location: Clifton, NJ 07014

Pay Rate: $23 - 25.74/hr on W2.

Duration: 2+ Months

Shift: Mon-Fri 8:00am-4:30pm; E/O Sat 7:30am-12pm

*Pay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection following established protocols.
  • Draw high-quality blood samples, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Verify patient identification, demographics, and signatures after venipuncture.
  • Ensure tubes are labeled in the patientโ€™s presence and properly documented.
  • Perform daily tasks accurately and in a timely manner under supervisor direction.
  • Maintain required records, logs, and documentation.
  • Uphold a clean, safe, and professional workspace.
  • Process specimens as needed (experience in processing required).

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatric.
  • Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
  • Must demonstrate Superior Customer Focus; ability to communicate openly and transparently with peers, supervisors, and patients; ability to accelerate and embrace change; and knowledge of our business.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • More than 3 years phlebotomy experience REQUIRED, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
  • Travel between multiple sites with reliable personal transportation and maintain on-time attendance at all assigned locations.
  • Must have a clean driving record; mileage is reimbursed between sites only, not from home.
