Are you looking to put your Values Into Action? To do work that truly matters?
Values Into Action- NJ is hiring a Support Coordinator to join our team. As a Support Coordinator, you will assist individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities to coordinate both paid and non-paid services and supports that will aid them in living a fulfilling life within their community. This includes working with the service user and their team to create an individualized service plan that clearly includes the person's aspirations and goals; and on-going monitoring of services and completion of service documentation to ensure that the individuals' needs are being addressed and regulatory standards met.
This position offers flexibility with some tasks that can be completed remotely. However, it also requires regular engagement in the community and travel within the region to meet the needs of those supported and required by our funders. The ideal candidate will live in Mercer County of New Jersey. Frequent travel throughout the state of New Jersey is expected in this role.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • At least a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (required)
  • At least 1 year full-time equivalent documented experience working with people with intellectual/developmental disabilities (required)
  • Fluency in Spanish and English languages (speaking, reading, and writing) is preferred but not required
  • Working knowledge of Support Coordination
  • A strong commitment to social justice for all, including those living with intellectual/developmental disabilities;
  • A clear commitment to community based supports, including experience with community building and identifying natural resources
  • Working knowledge and commitment to person-centered thinking and planning.
  • A willingness to work a flexible schedule, as needed, to meet the needs of the people served;
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and a fully registered and insured vehicle;
  • Able to travel throughout the state of NJ.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment clearances.
