Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and patient-centered Certified Nurse Midwife to join our OB/GYN clinic. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecological care, while collaborating with our physicians and clinical staff to ensure exceptional patient experiences. This role is dedicated to supporting women through every stage of their reproductive health journey.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide full-scope midwifery care including prenatal visits, labor management, delivery assistance (if applicable to the clinic), and postpartum care.
  • Conduct routine well-woman exams, family planning consultations, and gynecologic assessments.
  • Perform and interpret diagnostic tests such as Pap smears, STI screenings, and fetal monitoring.
  • Educate patients on pregnancy, childbirth preparation, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and reproductive health.
  • Develop individualized care plans based on patient needs, medical history, and established protocols.
  • Work closely with OB/GYN physicians, nurses, and clinical staff to coordinate care.
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and families, ensuring understanding of care plans and next steps.
  • Participate in case reviews, patient consultations, and interdisciplinary team meetings.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Ensure adherence to clinic policies, state regulations, and midwifery professional standards.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.
  • Provide culturally sensitive care and support informed decision-making.
  • Educate patients on health maintenance, contraception options, and pregnancy-related topics.
  • Advocate for patient safety and promote a positive clinical environment.

Requirements
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
  • Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) with active certification from the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB).
  • Master's degree in Nursing or Midwifery required.
  • Current CPR/BLS and NRP certification (or ability to obtain).
  • Minimum 1-2 years of midwifery or women's health experience preferred.
  • Experience in an outpatient OB/GYN or clinic setting is highly desirable.
