About the roleGathers data and prepares documents required by government and regulatory agencies (NAIC, Federal Reserve, FINRA) for external financial reporting. Uses a formal process for appropriate data gathering, consolidation and analysis of financial data relative to the preparation of required regulatory filings, including but not limited to quarterly statements, annual statements, and state filings. Prepares cash flow statements, supplemental schedules, statement disclosures, and audit report disclosures. Ensures data integrity and proper accounting and works with auditors who support the review and audit of regulatory filings. Gathers and interprets reference material concerning new and existing technical accounting literature to ensure compliance.How does this role make an impact?- Completes timely and accurate internal and external financial statements and related schedules for reporting entities.- Develops and maintains queries and worksheets to support the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analysis.- Implements changes necessary to comply with regulatory requirements and stays abreast of changes in accounting guidance, trends, techniques, and procedures.- Coordinates accounting matters with other departments and divisions.- Completes timely and accurate state filings.Do you have what we're looking for?
  • Typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training.
  • Accounting degree and/or CPA designation.
  • Able to use technology to enhance and streamline existing business processes and drive efficiencies.

  • Self-motivated with strong critical-thinking skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently to guarantee the accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills including use of pivot tables and complex formulas. Prior knowledge of Workday is preferred, butnot required.

Base Pay Range:

$64,800-$89,100

The base pay range represents the typical range of potential salary offers for candidates hired. Factors used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, qualifications and experience.

Incentive Pay:

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a Short-Term Incentive plan.
