Job description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail oriented Senior Analyst to join our External Reporting team.In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the preparation, accuracy and timely submission of all financial statements and disclosures filed with the SEC, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SEC regulations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to analyze financial data, draft disclosures and support the quarterly and annual reporting and earnings cycles.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong foundational knowledge of financial statements, excellent technical accounting research skills, working knowledge of external reporting software and the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly to senior leadership and external stakeholders.

What you'll do:

  • Prepare and submit SEC filings (Form 10-Q, 10-K) timely and accurately
  • Knowledge of XBRL tagging
  • Ensure all financial data is thoroughly tied out to supporting documentation
  • Collaborate with Investor Relations, Accounting, FP&A, and Treasury on quarterly earnings releases
  • Research and analyze the accounting impact of significant or unusual transactions
  • Support the adoption of new FASB rules and global accounting policies
  • Document and maintain compliance with SEC, GAAP, and SOX requirements
  • Assist with external audits and respond to auditor requests
  • Stay up-to-date on technical accounting standards and best practices
  • Recommend and help implement process improvements and new tools
  • Participate in special projects and cross-functional initiatives

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or progress toward CPA preferred).
  • Minimum 4 years' experience, with at least 2 years public accounting and 2 years industry experience preferred.
  • Strong background with SEC filings (10K, 10Q) and internal controls/GAAP practices/protocols.
  • Proficiency with SEC reporting tools such as Workiva
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft products such as Power BI to include experience with accounting software (e.g. Oracle).
  • Strong technical accounting skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 72,000 USD - 100,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
