Your role:
  • Advise sales staff on delivery services, including delivery time/date and product placement
  • Provide quotes for out-of-zone delivery services and \"carry in\" service
  • Review special orders for completeness and accuracy
  • Contact customers and respond to inquiries regarding delivery information
  • Maintain contact with drivers and update systems upon delivery completion, noting any issues for tracking
  • Adjust delivery orders as instructed, including substitutions, add-ons, and cancellations
  • Sign in drivers and ensure payments are processed
  • Match paperwork, document changes, and file appropriately
  • Contact vendors for replacement parts, inspect defective merchandise, and review warranty issues
  • Make inventory adjustments for returned products
  • Track reasons for returns and inform the Operations Manager of chronic problems
  • Investigate product damage or defect complaints and negotiate with suppliers for replacements or credits
  • Perform other job-related duties as required
