Job description

We seek to hire a highly qualified individual for a full-time, temporary Upper School Mathematics Teacher position. This is a leave replacement covering November 2, 2026, through April 5, 2027.
The salary for this position will be prorated based on the portion of the school year worked, using the pay range provided in this posting. Actual compensation will be determined by applicable education and experience, as determined by the Human Resources Department.

  • Has, at minimum, a bachelor's degree in the subject area taught; MA preferred
  • Has three+ years of teaching experience in relevant subject areas and appropriate grade-level division
  • Has the ability to create and communicate well-organized, meaningful, and creative lesson plans that thoughtfully incorporate teaching strategies to further and maximize student learning
  • Demonstrates collaboration, collegiality, and organization

Compensation:
Pay for this position is determined according to The Harker School's established pay scale and is based on relevant education and experience, as evaluated by the Human Resources Department. The posted pay range reflects the full pay scale for this position. While the maximum rate is included for transparency, most new hires can expect to fall within the lower to middle portion of the pay scale based on their qualifications and experience.
