This position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center located in East Brunswick, New Jersey. Our facility is well-equipped with modern rehabilitation technology and resources that assist in delivering the best physical therapy outcomes. You will work in a collaborative environment alongside a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals committed to continuous improvement and evidence-based practice.

• Directly oversee patient physical therapy treatment plans that aim to prevent disability, alleviate pain, and develop or restore muscle functionality to the maximum possible performance in accordance with established care protocols.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients’ conditions using diagnostic tests and assessments to measure muscle, nerve, and joint functionality.
• Utilize manual therapeutic techniques, including exercise administration, to instruct and motivate clients in non-manual therapeutic exercises.
• Administer various treatments involving physical agents such as traction and massage, contributing to a holistic recovery experience.
• Assess and adapt patients’ prosthetic and orthotic devices, making necessary modifications based on ongoing evaluations.
• Maintain accurate clinical records, including initial evaluations, OASIS documentation, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring they reflect each client’s therapeutic journey.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to strategize and evaluate client treatment plans, ensuring comprehensive patient care.
• Provide education and support to clients and families regarding their therapy devices and overall physical therapy programs.
• Supervise and guide Physical Therapy Assistants in their responsibilities, ensuring compliance with applicable state laws and maintaining a high standard of care.
• Conduct on-site assessments to ensure the effectiveness of the plan of care, adjusting as necessary based on client progress and community resource availability.

The ideal candidate will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic procedures, injuries, and chronic conditions, including but not limited to joint replacements, fractures, tendon repairs, and sports-related injuries. Our approach is centered on personalized care that addresses not only the physical limitations of our patients but also incorporates their personal goals and lifestyle aspirations into their rehabilitation plans.

• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program with a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy.
• Holds current and valid Physical Therapy licensure in New Jersey.
• Minimum of one year of experience in physical therapy practice, with a strong preference for experience in acute or home care settings.
• Current CPR certification.
• Possesses a valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
• Demonstrated ability to make informed decisions and solve problems effectively.
• A proactive approach to creativity and clinical excellence.

• Experience working in a rehabilitation center or orthopedic-focused practice.
• Familiarity with patient documentation systems and electronic health records.
• Ability to effectively collaborate within an interdisciplinary team framework.
