Position Summary

This position will be for the Marco and Mardian Family of Companies. Marco Crane & Rigging Co. is an established Crane company since 1956. Marco Crane, along with Marco Rigging, Mardian Concrete Pump Co., Mardian Equipment, and Mardian Transportation, has over 200 employees and operates in five different states in the Western U.S.

We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as Dispatch Manager.

Job Duties
  • Assist in overseeing timely invoicing.
  • Verify billing documents
  • Run and Manage Open Shippers Report
  • Run and manage the Missing Ticket Report
  • Ensure that the Dispatch report is updated daily.
  • Work with managers and operators to ensure that all paperwork is correctly processed and turned in on a timely basis.
  • Work with sales and manage getting purchase orders.
  • Ensure that permit inspections are kept current and up to date.
  • Train and familiarize on reviewing repair invoices as backup for Operations Managers
  • Assist in analyzing the direct and indirect reports
  • Manage and supervise the squawk process, maintaining a schedule and follow-up system.
  • Work with individual dispatchers to increase efficiency and flow of daily duties, as well as cross-train with different companies.
  • Back up Dispatcher for employees who are sick or taking PTO days.
  • Responsible for the management and direction of the day-to-day operations.
  • Ensure effective inside sales, dispatch, order-taking and sales administration are performed.
  • Supervise the dispatchers to make sure related processes and systems are executed in a manner consistent with Company policy and best practices.
  • Provide scheduling and logistics support to the field employees.
  • Partner with cross-functional departments to accomplish mutual objectives.
  • Build trust with internal and external customers.
  • Maintain and improve order entry and dispatch systems and procedures to provide on-time delivery and effective communication with customers and internal personnel.
  • Attending Company and departmental meetings as directed
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas
  • Participate in ongoing training, development, and certifications.
  • Assist with after-hours and weekend calls and logistics

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
  • Education: Sufficient formal and/or informal training to provide the ability to read and write at a level consistent with the requirements of the position;
  • High School diploma (or GED) plus any combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance of this position;
  • 7+ years of related experience, including supervision within the same industry,is a plus
  • Know and adhere to all DOT regulations
  • Excellent customer service skills โ€“ dedicated to meeting the expectations of internal and external customers, with a focus on unparalleled service
  • Flexible and able to balance shifting priorities to meet deadlines
